Private Transportation Designed Around One Passenger
Medical transportation is about more than getting to an appointment. The passenger may also need wheelchair accessibility, assistance to and from the vehicle, comfortable positioning, dependable timing, and a coordinated return trip.
AtlasCare provides a private transportation experience designed around the passenger's mobility needs, comfort, destination, and appointment schedule. The vehicle and driver are reserved for one passenger rather than transporting unrelated passengers along a shared route.
Every trip includes:
- A private ride — one passenger, with no unrelated passengers or additional passenger stops
- Wheelchair-accessible transportation for passengers who remain seated in their wheelchair during the trip
- Assisted door-to-door service between the vehicle and the entrance of the home, medical facility, or care facility
- One-way or round-trip transportation
- Wait & Return service for medical appointments
- One family member or caregiver at no additional charge
- Wheelchair securement and occupant restraints appropriate to the passenger and mobility device
- Tilt, recline & leg-elevated positioning available for passengers who can travel seated but may be more comfortable with additional positioning support
- AtlasCare's On-Time Guarantee
Stay in Your Wheelchair During Transportation
For many wheelchair users, transferring into and out of a standard passenger seat can be difficult, uncomfortable, or impractical.
AtlasCare's wheelchair-accessible vehicles allow eligible passengers to remain seated in their wheelchair during transportation, with the wheelchair and passenger secured for the trip.
This can make transportation simpler for medical appointments, treatment, rehabilitation, hospital discharges, and other healthcare visits.
Traveling with a family member or caregiver?
One family member or caregiver may ride with the passenger at no additional charge.
Tilt, Recline & Leg-Elevated Positioning for Added Comfort and Support
Some passengers can safely travel seated but may have difficulty remaining comfortably upright in a standard wheelchair for the entire trip.
AtlasCare offers the Broda Traversa positioning chair, providing tilt, recline, and leg-elevated positioning when appropriate.
These positioning options provide additional seating and leg support and give passengers more ways to sit comfortably during transportation.
Broda Traversa positioning chair: additional $95 per tripThe Broda Traversa is for passengers who can safely travel seated. It does not replace stretcher or ambulance transportation when those services are medically required.
Not sure whether additional positioning would help?
Tell us about the passenger's usual seating or positioning needs when requesting the ride. We'll review the transportation requirements before confirming the trip.

For appointments that may take some time, round-trip and Wait & Return transportation can simplify both the trip to the appointment and the return home.
Round Trip & Wait & Return Transportation
You shouldn't have to arrange transportation to your appointment and then find another ride home.
AtlasCare offers round-trip and Wait & Return transportation, allowing your trip to the appointment and your return home to be coordinated as one transportation plan. Included Wait & Return time applies when you book Wait & Return service.
Simple Distance-Based Pricing
| One-Way Trip Distance | One Way | Round Trip | Wait & Return Time Included |
|---|---|---|---|
| 0–10 miles | $75 | $150 | 30 minutes |
| 11–20 miles | $95 | $190 | 30 minutes |
| 21–30 miles | $125 | $250 | 30 minutes |
| 31–45 miles | $165 | $330 | 60 minutes |
| 46–60 miles | $195 | $390 | 60 minutes |
Additional wait time: $20 per 15 minutes.
Wait & Return is subject to availability and must be included in the confirmed reservation. A Scheduled Return pickup is coordinated for a confirmed return time and does not include driver waiting between trip legs. Will Call Return is for appointments with an uncertain end time where the passenger does not need on-site support: the driver leaves after drop-off and AtlasCare coordinates the return based on vehicle availability, so the vehicle is not reserved at the appointment location. All three round-trip arrangements are the same posted fare — only Wait & Return can accrue additional wait-time charges.
Pricing is based on the one-way distance between the pickup location and destination.
We'll confirm availability and your price so you can book with confidence.
